About the Author
Brooke L. Gardner (aka b.l.g.) is a poet, writer, and author of the collection of poetry, Tea Stains & Cigarettes. Brooke earned a BA in creative writing from the University of West Florida. Brooke's passion for writing began when she was in elementary school, writing short stories on scraps of notebook paper. In middle school, Brooke discovered the art of poetry through works from Edgar Allan Poe and Langston Hughes. Originally, Brooke began writing poetry as a means to cope with depression and anxiety. Now, she hopes that people who read her work will find comfort in knowing they are not alone with the demons of mental health problems.
"I don’t think all writers are sad. I think it’s the other way around—all sad people write."
